I am a very lucky mom.
I only have to buy one birthday cake a year for my kids.
The reason is that all three of them share the same birthday, July 8th.

I insisted on a natural birth for my first son, but I ended up getting an emergency C-section.
That was on July 8th.
When I was pregnant with my second son, the doctor suggested scheduling the delivery for July 7th.
But in the end, he was born on the 8th as well.
Then came my daughter, whose due date wasn;t far off from her brothers’.
Sure enough, she was also born on July 8th.

I’m still amazed and arateful every time I look at their birthdates lined up in order on our family register.
I hope that they will always remember each other’s birthday even after they grow up, and that it will bring them even closer as siblings.

저는 아이들의 생일을 위해서 1년에 딱 한 번만 생일 케이크를 사도 되는 아주 럭키한 엄마랍니다.
그 이유는 우리 아이들 세 명 모두 7월 8일로 생일이 같기 때문이에요.

첫째 아들은 자연 분만을 고집했지만, 결국 응급 상황으로 제왕 절개 수술을 하게 되었어요.
그날이 바로 7월 8일이었고요.
둘때 아들을 가졌을 때는 의사 선생님이 분만 날짜를 7월 7일을 제안하셨는데, 결국 7월 8일에 수술을 해 주셨어요.
그리고 셋째 딸은 예정일이 오빠들과 차이가 많이 나지 않아 역시나 7월 8일에 태어나게 되었어요.

주민 등록 등본에 나란히 기재되어 있는 아이들 생일을 볼 때마다 아직도 신기하고 감사한 마음이 들어요.
저는 아이들이 나중에 커서도 서로의 생일을 늘 기억하고 서로를 더욱 아끼는 형제자매가 되어 주기를 바라요.
